The Sigma Cine Classic 20mm T2.5 is a wide-angle prime designed for full-frame cinema sensors, offering a spacious field of view with a warm, nostalgic visual signature. While the measured transmission is T2.5, the optical design is based on a fast f/1.4 aperture, allowing the lens to produce naturally shallow depth of field and subject isolation when desired. The Classic series’ selective coating formula softens contrast, encourages gentle highlight bloom, and creates expressive flares for imagery that feels atmospheric and emotionally grounded.

This unique coating approach defines the Classic look—highlights glow with an organic sense of presence, and transitions between light and shadow roll off with a smooth, film-like character. The lens shares the same professional mechanical platform as the standard Sigma Cine primes, including a 95 mm front diameter, unified gear placement, and a smooth 180° focus rotation for precise, repeatable focus pulls. The Classic series is available exclusively in ARRI PL mount with metadata support, ensuring seamless integration into cinema workflows while delivering a timeless, stylized wide-angle rendering.
