The Canon CN-E 135mm T2.2 L F Cinema Prime Lens is a powerful telephoto focal length, ideal for isolating subjects and creating dramatic shallow depth-of-field effects on both Full Frame and Super 35 sensor formats. This high-speed optic features a wide T2.2 maximum aperture, delivering excellent light transmission and significant control for cinematic focus fall-off. Its circular 11-blade iris ensures that out-of-focus highlights are round and pleasing, contributing to a smooth, beautiful bokeh. Focus operation is highly precise and smooth, utilizing 300° of stepless barrel rotation, while the lens is engineered to effectively minimize focus breathing.
Constructed for the professional cinema environment, the lens features a dust- and water-resistant housing. The design incorporates technology to counteract thermal expansion and contraction, which helps maintain the absolute accuracy of the focus markings across varying set temperatures. Focus distance scales are clearly displayed on both sides of the barrel, with the rear markings angled for optimal visibility by the focus puller. Consistent with the CN-E series, the 135mm T2.2 shares standardized mechanics—including a 114mm front diameter and identical gear positions—for seamless integration with accessories and fast lens swaps on set.
These premium CN-E lenses are available in a native Canon EF mount or can be exclusively converted to the robust Arri PL mount via a specialized process by Duclos Lenses. Click here for more info.
